The nursing home located at Building 430, Health Center Dr Drive, Nags Head City has received numerous complaints about the quality of care provided to residents. The facility's accessibility features, including a wheelchair accessible parking lot and entrance, are a positive aspect. However, the issues with care and treatment of patients are a major concern. It seems that the staff, particularly the nurses, have been accused of being rough and unprofessional in their handling of patients. There have been reports of neglect, such as unchanging bandages, serving cold and late meals, and ignoring call bells. Some staff members have even admitted to ignoring call bells and not taking care of patients during the night. Pain medication has been withheld from patients, and medical devices that require regular flushing have not been properly maintained. There have also been instances of lost appointments and missed medical transport due to the facility's poor management. The staff's behavior has been described as unprofessional and even abusive. The administrative staff has been accused of being deceitful and uncooperative. Despite some positive comments about the physical therapy and occupational therapy staff, the overall quality of care at this facility is a significant concern.
