For a beach bike week that's big on hospitality but also provides ample room to roam, head to the Outer Banks. With miles of new terrain, incredible views, and lots of bike-friendly businesses welcoming two-wheel guests, it's no surprise that the Outer Banks is gaining recognition as one of the East Coast's best destinations for a fun beach bike week.The annual Outer Banks Bike Week features a full line-up of events that are dotted throughout the Outer Banks, and bikers are encouraged to take a spin down N.C. Highway 12 from Corolla to Ocracoke to discover miles and miles of pristine shoreline. Though the detailed activities and events change slightly every year to keep folks coming back, expect to enjoy guided tours through some of the OBX’s most scenic destinations, party nights, tattoo and bikini contest, and more than 100 vendors. The event also features plenty of live music and outdoor concerts, a pig pickin’, and so much more. Well known as one of the best weeks for bikers along the East Coast, the Outer Banks Bike Week celebration is party that can’t be missed, and is a prime opportunity to discover one of the most scenic shorelines on the coast.
